Want to be an Editor?
Ever thought of applying your humor and literary talents towards a good cause?
Me neither.
But I had this idea to build a farewell gift for Dave to mark the end of his weekly column writing in January.
So I built this site
Now I need help.
Its not that I mind giving up any semblance of a life and my potential earning capacity to run the site for two months. Its just that I recognize I’m not nearly funny or creative enough to do it on my own.
I need Editors.
An Editor for this site is someone that likes Dave enough to put in a bit of time between now and the end of December to contribute to the site and inspire others to do so as well. The Editor's Choice Home explains a bit more about what an Editor does.
An Editor gets to post things directly to the “Editor’s Choice” section of the site, and gets to put “DWCME” (Dave’s Weekly Column Memorial Editor, pronounced “De-Wick-Me”) honorific on their business card, and in their blog tag. As in "Fred Boogerdoots Esq. OBE, KBE, DWCME". Impressive huh? Oh well.
To qualify for this privilege, you need to email me at dwcme@email.com outlining why you think you would be a good Editor (even poor reasons are acceptable – I’m not being choosey here, I just want to keep out the obvious spammers). I can then use the return e-mail address to send you the blogger.com invitation to be an Editor. If you are coy about handing me your normal e-mail address, go to some place like yahoo, or mail.com and register a temporary e-mail address for the purpose – it doesn’t have to be used after the registration process. In any event I promise to eat all e-mail addresses immediately on receiving them. Sauteed with a hint of garlic.
The rules:
There aren’t any, except, I suppose, that we are trying to make the end result fun and memorable for Dave.
